Mid-Year Enrollment:
The French American School of Tampa Bay offers rolling admissions, accepting students throughout the year as space allows. Tuition for mid-year enrollment is prorated based on the start date, calculated as follows:
- The annual tuition is divided by 10 (representing 10 months of the school year).
- This monthly amount is multiplied by the number of months the student will attend.
- Important: Any month in which attendance begins is counted in full, regardless of how many days the student attends during that month.
Prorated tuition must be paid in full by March 1st, and the full-pay discount does not apply to prorated tuition.
We are committed to making the enrollment process as smooth as possible and are happy to answer any tuition or payment plans questions.
Early Childhood Program and Enrollment Requirements:
The French American School of Tampa Bay offers flexible Early Childhood program options for children, available two, three, or five days per week, depending on the child’s age and the selected program. Prior exposure to the French language is not required for enrollment.
The Early Childhood/Preschool grade levels are as follows:
- TPS/EC2: For children born before September 1, 2023
- PS/EC3: For children born in 2022
- MS/VPK/EC4: For children born in 2021
- GS/Kindergarten: For children born in 2020
The school follows a calendar-year birthday cut-off similar to France (December 31st). However, for early childhood applicants (other than TPS/EC2), the Florida cut-off date (September 1st) may be used.
Potty Training Requirements:
- TPS/EC2: Potty training is not required.
- PS/EC3: Children must be fully potty-trained to begin school in August. If a child is not fully trained, they will initially be placed in the TPS program. Once they are ready, they may transition to the PS program mid-year, provided there is available space. We understand that this process can be challenging and are committed to supporting families to ensure a smooth transition.
Evaluation and Documentation:
- All applicants undergo an evaluation to confirm that the school can meet the child’s educational needs.
- Applicants transferring from an accredited French school are exempt from evaluation but must provide a Certificat de Scolarité and school report cards (bulletins).
- Required application documents include a copy of the child’s birth certificate and up-to-date vaccination records.
Program Hours and Additional Options:
- School Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for EC2 and EC3 students
- After-Care: Available from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., with additional enrichment activities offered.
We look forward to supporting your family through this exciting journey in early education.

It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sexual orientation, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
