Adult Education


The French American School of Tampa Bay offers group lessons for adults interested in improving their speaking and writing skills or simply trying to keep up with their kids!


Group Classes

During the 2020-21 school year, we are once again pleased to offer Adult French Education, with instruction by our FASTB teacher, Emmy Decker.  Due to COVID-19 related restrictions on entry to our building, our classes will be held online via Zoom until it is deemed safe to lift the restriction.

First semester: One class per week for 14 weeks beginning the week of October 12 and ending the week of February 1.  Semester cost: $350 per person plus $60 for the class text book and workbook.

Second Semester: One class per week for 15 weeks beginning the week of February 8 and ending the week of May 24.  Our Intermediate class will meet each Wednesday from 5:00-6:30pm, with our Beginner-Plus class following on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30pm – both classes start February 10.  Our Advanced class will meet each Thursday from 6:30-8:00pm starting February 11.  Semester cost: $375 per person plus $60 for the class text book and workbook (unless purchased in the first semester).

4 important skills to be gained:
Oral Comprehension, Written Comprehension, 
Oral Expression and Written Expression

  • Grammatical points with explanations and application exercises
  • Vocabulary
  • Phonetics and repetition of different sounds
  • Conversation and practice of dialogues between the students
  • Cultural experience
