The French American School of Tampa Bay offers group lessons for adults interested in improving their speaking and writing skills or simply trying to keep up with their kids!

2025–2026 School Year

Discover the joy of learning French in a warm, encouraging, and dynamic environment!
Whether you’re beginning your language journey or looking to strengthen your skills, our Adult French Education Program offers high-quality instruction tailored to adult learners, and a supportive community to grow with.

Classes are offered in person at FASTB or online via Zoom, depending on participant preference. All courses are taught by our experienced, native FASTB educators who bring both expertise and enthusiasm to every lesson.

Program Overview

Spring Semester

  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Dates: Week of March 2nd – Week of June 1st
  • Cost: $425 per person
  • Materials: $60 for textbook and workbook (unless already purchased)

Class Schedule

  • Frequency: One class per week

  • Length: 1.5 hours

  • Time Frame: Between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM (final times based on group availability)

All interested participants will be asked to share their availability. The final schedule will be created to best accommodate the group.

What You’ll Learn

Our curriculum supports steady, meaningful growth across the four core language skills:

  • Oral Comprehension – understanding real spoken French

  • Written Comprehension – reading texts with increasing ease

  • Oral Expression – building confidence in conversation

  • Written Expression – writing with clarity and accuracy

Additional areas of focus include:

  • Grammar explained clearly with practical application

  • Thematic vocabulary development

  • Phonetics & pronunciation practice to sound more natural

  • Everyday dialogues and interactive speaking activities

  • Insights into French culture, traditions, and ways of life
