Extended Care & Clubs

The French American School of Tampa Bay offers a range of Extended Day Care and Club options designed to support the needs of busy families. You may choose the flexibility of pay-as-you-go or daily enrollment, or benefit from greater savings by enrolling in advance for regular care. The more you enroll, the more you save. We encourage you to review the options below and select the programs that best fit your family’s schedule and needs.

Our After Care program provides a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for students at the end of the school day, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., with optional enrichment activities available. To register, please click on the buttons below to view the available After Care options and select the schedule that best meets your family’s needs.

Our Before Care program is offered each morning from 7:30 a.m. to 8:15 a.m., providing families with flexible options to support their daily schedules while ensuring a calm, supervised, and welcoming start to the school day. We are excited to offer a variety of engaging after-school clubs for Fall 2027! Each club is designed to spark creativity, curiosity, and connection in a bilingual environment. Full descriptions and instructor bios will be available soon on our website.

2026-2027 Aftercare & Extended Day

Extended Care & After-School Programs at FASTB

The French American School of Tampa Bay (FASTB) is a licensed childcare and preschool provider offering year-round programming.

In addition to our regular school hours, FASTB provides a variety of enriching programs designed to support families and enhance the student experience.

Extended Day Care is available on school days for families needing care beyond regular school hours (8:30 AM – 3:00 PM). This program offers age-appropriate, interactive activities in a safe and engaging environment.

After-School Clubs include activities such as Judo, Theater, Arts & Crafts, and Zumba. These clubs offer students opportunities to explore new interests and develop talents beyond the classroom.

All extended care and after-school programs are offered at an additional cost.

Aftercare (3:00–5:30 PM, Monday–Friday)
Families may customize a plan that best fits their needs. Options include:

  • Selecting specific days of the week

  • Registering for the full school year, by session, or month-to-month

    • Session 1: August 13, 2026 – December 18, 2026

    • Session 2: January 4, 2027 – June 4, 2027

  • Emergency/unplanned care is available at $15 per hour (or portion thereof)

To ensure the safety and quality of each child’s experience, we maintain a strict teacher-student ratio and reserve the right to deny enrollment if capacity is exceeded.

Rollers with Nicolas (Grades 1-5)

Get ready to roll! This club provides a safe, fun environment for students to learn the fundamentals of skating while boosting physical health. Students learn to skate, stop, and play games- building confidence and teamwork through fun, active, supervised play.

We kindly ask that participating students bring their own skates, knee and elbow pads, as well as a helmet.

Yoga Club with Eva (PS/EC3 - MS/EC4 - GS/K)

This yoga club is a playful, imaginative, and non-competitive activity designed to boost flexibility, motor skills, and emotional regulation. Goals include enhancing balance, coordination, and strength while fostering social-emotional skills. Through storytelling, animal poses, and music, children learn to focus and relax in a fun, nurturing environment.

Young Journalists with Fabien (1st Grade - 5th Grade)

The Young Journalists afterschool club for grades 1–5 transforms students into "Junior Journalists" who explore their community, hone literacy skills, and find their unique voice. Balancing creative storytelling with foundational reporting techniques, students will brainstorm story ideas, practice asking the "5 W's" (Who, What, Where, When, and Why), and conduct interviews to gather facts.

Jewelry Making Club with Eva (Grades 1-5)

Jewelry Club is a hands-on, creative after-school club for grades 1-5 where students design and craft unique accessories, such as beaded necklaces, bracelets, rings, and keychains. Each session focuses on developing fine motor skills, pattern recognition, and self-expression through a variety of materials.

Gardening with Nicolas (PS/EC3 - MS/EC4 - GS/K)

Gardening Club offers hands-on, sensory-based nature exploration. Children ages 3–5 will dig, plant, water, and harvest, developing fine motor skills and a love for nature through messy play, sensory experiences, and fun, garden-themed crafts. It’s a perfect introduction to how plants grow and where food comes from.

Chess Club with Nicolas (1st Grade - 5th Grade)

The Elementary School Chess Club offers a fun, engaging environment for students of all skill levels (K-5) to learn, play, and improve their game. Participants build critical thinking, patience, and sportsmanship through weekly lessons, friendly matches, and tournaments.

Voyages with Laure-Anne (PS/EC3 - MS/EC4 - GS/K)

Voyages Around the World" for preschoolers fosters global curiosity through cultural exploration. Young learners will "travel" to new countries, engaging in themed arts and crafts, music, movement, and stories to build early cultural awareness and appreciation.

Embroidery Club with Laure-AnneOpen to students in Grade 1 and up

The embroidery club allows students to work on their fine motor skills and dexterity while expressing their artistic side. This last term, they will be adding beads to create bracelets or learning how to incorporate beads into their embroidery work. Join us for a moment of conviviality and creativity!

A soccer club with a focus on fair play, team spirit, and the enjoyment of the game, featuring technical exercises (passing, shooting, dribbling), mini-games, and small matches adapted by age.
