Colin LeBihan

Willy LeBihan

Colin LeBihan began his French education at 2.5 years old at L’Ecole Française du Maine (The French School of Maine) in Toute Petite Section de Maternelle and continued through grade 6. This personal experience gives Colin a unique perspective. After grade 6, Colin attended Waynflete School in Portland, Maine, for grades 7-12, where he immediately became a key element of the upper-level elective classes for advanced French students, courses usually only open to juniors and seniors.

Throughout high school, Colin shared his bilingual abilities with his classmates by serving as a mentor for his classmates. He continually polished his written skills through these electives and simultaneously continued his study of French through the French Ministry of Education’s DELF/DALF Programs, achieving the highest level C2.

Colin attended the CityTerm program at the Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, New York, during his junior year. This highly selective program welcomed boarding students worldwide to complete studies at the Masters School and through experiential learning experiences in New York City. City Term taught the students to explore New York City in a meaningful and hands-on manner and helped them develop independence and deep compassion for others.

Colin then attended Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York, where he studied International Business and Management. He spent his first semester in London with Skidmore’s First Semester London Program. During his college summers, Colin worked at the Desert of Maine, where he managed a team and helped the new owner of this unique location transform it into a thriving campground and cultural venue. Upon graduation from college, Colin moved to Florida and became a licensed real estate agent, working with Berkshire Hathaway.

Colin is excited to take on the role of School Director and Assistant to the Head of School at The French American School of Tampa Bay. Having watched his parents all of his life, the Founders of FASTB and L’Ecole Française du Maine, Colin is fully committed to the mission and vision of the school. He embraces the challenge of increasing awareness of FASTB locally and internationally and looks forward to getting to know each member of the FASTB community. Among the 56 French Schools in North America, Colin is one of the few administrators who has been a student of this system.
