Originally from Belgium, Marine Kempenaers brings a rich and diverse background in early childhood education to the French American School of Tampa Bay. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychomotricity from the Haute École de la Province de Namur. This program focuses on the holistic development of children, nurturing their cognitive, emotional, and motor skills.
Marine began her career as a children’s sports coach and swimming instructor, organizing aquagym, aquabike, baby swim classes, and activities promoting confidence and motor development in young learners. She later opened her own licensed home daycare, where she worked for five years as an independent childcare provider for infants and toddlers up to age three. This experience deepened her understanding of child development and her commitment to creating nurturing, respectful, and stimulating environments for children and their families.
Marine is recognized for her calm and caring demeanor, attentiveness to children’s individual needs, and her ability to create strong partnerships with parents. Her practice is grounded in the principles of respect for each child’s rhythm and a firm belief in the importance of psychomotor and emotional development in early learning.
Now living in Florida with her husband and daughter, Marine is excited to be part of the FASTB community. She is passionate about sharing her love of learning and travel with her students, fostering curiosity, open-mindedness, and joy in exploring the world around them.
