Life was indeed exciting in the FASTB lane this week with presentations and media events as well as a most enjoyable opportunity to meet parents interested in our school!
Informational Gathering a Hit
Where to begin? At the risk of stepping out of chronological order, we must begin with our Informational Gathering Thursday night (April 19) at the St. Pete Chamber boardroom. It was a great turnout with plenty of time for the presentation from Founders Beth & Willy LeBihan and all of your questions. Thank you to all who attended – we know not everyone could make it so stay tuned as we will have more gatherings like this in the coming weeks!

Our One Million Cups presentation Wednesday, detailed here, went very well and led to a podcast interview with St. Pete Catalyst owner, Joe Hamilton. FASTB will be featured on The Catalyst soon – once we know, you’ll know!

Looking Ahead – Bonjour Monsieur le Président!
This Tuesday morning, Willy LeBihan will be an invited guest at the White House – yes, THAT White House – at French President Emmanuel Macron’s historic State Visit Welcoming Ceremony. A great honor to be invited, and well-deserved, Willy!
Beth, meanwhile, has been invited Tuesday evening to be the featured speaker at the USF St. Petersburg World Language Society’s Alpha Mu Gamma Annual Initiation Ceremony. Beth will address the honorees and underscore the lifelong benefits their hard work in language study will bring them, share her experiences starting and operating L’Ecole Française du Maine, and speak of the excitement of planning and opening The French American School of Tampa Bay this Fall.

Our official Groundbreaking Ceremony is scheduled for May 23 at 5pm at our school at 2100 62nd Avenue North in St. Pete – more details to follow!
