Emmy brings impressive academic credentials and experience to FASTB. Growing up in multicultural Rueil-Malmaison, a Parisian suburb and home to Napoleon’s castle – Château de la Malmaison, Emmy appreciated knowing multiple languages very early in life. She attended Sorbonne Université in Paris and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in English Language, Literature, and Civilization to underscore that.
She then pursued her studies at the Sorbonne to obtain a Master’s degree in Applied French – Teaching French as a Foreign Language. Between the first and second year of her Master’s program, she taught French at Lycoming College in Williamsport, PA, for a year as part of the Fulbright FLTA program, returning to teach for a year at the American University of Paris. A world traveler, Emmy has then taught at the Alliance Française of Christchurch, New Zealand, before joining FASTB in 2020.
