En Classe – Enamored With Grammar
Burning questions that span the globe need answers – we are pleased to do our part on at least one issue:
World: “Can grammar be fun?”
Emmy: Oui !
Convinced? Proof came this week as Emmy middle schoolers participated in a grammar rainbow game with different colors representing various components of a sentence (below left).
Each student had to correctly identify subject, verb, etc. with the proper color. Did the students agree with Emmy? The heart shapes in the photo at the end of the video below provide a clue & seem to prove Emmy right…
Sentences played a role in Magali’s CP class as well, but the focus here was on careful, cursive writing (which is improving every week), as students used the Monday assignment that Magali wrote on the board as a guide…
Preschoolers in Cécile’s class were busy this week with sorting, distinguishing between a lot & a little (above), and working with shapes (below left), while writing letters was a focus in kindergarten (below right).
And then, like you might see in a musical, they all broke out in a song…
Loyal News de Nous readers will remember that we reported on our fence expansion last week, and Olivier’s class wasted no time putting the additional space to use as a soccer pitch.
This elementary group also got their kicks creating autumn-themed artwork, individually, on paper in the classroom…
…and in small teams outside, creating land art!

Admissions News – Room to Grow in 2020-21
As we turn the corner into October, we are very pleased with how things have gone so far this year. We are a small school that is adaptable in this ever-changing COVID-19 world, our students are making great strides in French already – and there are slots available for 2020-21!
If you think FASTB might be a good fit for your child and you would like to learn more about our unique school, please contact our Director of Admissions, Audrey Talarico – we have slots available for this 2020-21 school year. As always, feel free to visit our Admissions page and website to explore what we have to offer – a French immersion and multicultural educational environment that is the only one of its kind in this region.
FASTB also accepts Florida scholarships through Step Up for Students, which is still accepting applications for the 2020-21 school year for grades K & up, and French Bourses for students with a French passport. We look forward to hearing from you!

Thank you to our parents and staff for being vigilant about spotting symptoms, per the agreement above. It is great to have everyone looking out for one another during this COVID time and being safe both at school and outside of school. For those not familiar, the above agreement is signed by families and staff, pledging to monitor for the prominent COVID-19 symptoms and stay home if these symptoms appear. Additionally, we do temperature checks twice per day and practice distancing, hand washing and wearing face coverings to keep each other safe. You can click on the image to review the agreement – merci !
