Kettly Zephir

Kettly has been working for the Pinellas County School District for the past 25 years. She received a Diploma in Early Childhood Education, and Credential Director from Pinellas Technical College. Per the Florida Department of Education, Kettly is recognized as a qualified childcare development specialist.

Born in Haiti, Kettly lived in New York for 4 years and moved to Florida in 1997. She is fluent in 3 languages: Haitian Creole, French and English.

She has five kids who she home-schooled when they were much younger. Her oldest child is 38 and therefore it can be said that Kettly has 38 years of teaching experience.  In her spare time she is a board member, and head of the Education Department at her church. She also used to be a counselor at the YMCA which displays her versatility. 

Kettly also has other adventures in her life which involve being a part-time cosmetologist. As well as her love of reading and working in her garden.

In the classroom, Kettly is known for her very patient and calm attitude. She strives for her students to feel comfortable asking questions as well as feeling loved .She works with them, no matter the circumstances, so that they can achieve their goals together. 

“I would like my scholars to enjoy every part of their learning experience. My goal and desire are to motivate scholars to learn and keep their interest by using an engaging curriculum.”
