Florence Lezec

Willy LeBihan

Originally from France, Florence has spent the past decade living in America, teaching in various educational environments. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education and has extensive experience employing diverse educational practices including language immersion and Montessori methods.

Her journey with children began early, serving as a Summer Camp counselor for five years and then as an au pair for three years in London, Sydney, and Paris. These experiences fueled her passion for travel, and her English-speaking skills developed significantly while working in England and Australia.

In Paris and New York, Florence dedicated herself to raising her two children while immersing them in an international environment. Her children attended the Lycée Français of New York for six years while Florence taught PK4 (Moyenne Section de Maternelle) full-time at the French Institute Alliance Française of New York City, also instructing yoga classes.

Driven by her love for teaching and a desire for professional growth, Florence pursued the DAEFLE (Diplôme d’Aptitude à l’Enseignement du Français Langue Étrangère), which she obtained in 2019.

Following six years in New York, she relocated to Florida, teaching Kindergarten at the Lycée Franco-American in Cooper City. With great enthusiasm, she also supervised a summer camp.

Subsequently, Florence taught a PK4 class within the American system. She also taught FLE (French as a Foreign Language), conducted private French lessons, and provided tutoring to individual students.

With extensive experience in early childhood education and through the nurturing of her own children, Florence finds fulfillment in guiding young learners. Fostering independence through educational activities and establishing trusting relationships, her teaching philosophy emphasizes student engagement and creating a positive learning atmosphere.

Florence sees education as a vocation. She is dedicated to her students, ensuring they receive the best care and love they deserve. She is keen to join FASTB as the Lead Teacher of the Moyenne Section (EC4/VPK) in the fall of 2024.

Florence enjoys reading, walking, sightseeing, and yoga in her spare time.
