Bonjour,
Busy week at FASTB!
Consul General of France in Miami, Vincent Floreani, visited the school, guided by our middle school students. An alumnus of the “Ecole Nationale d’Administration” (ENA) (1999), Mr. Floreani was assigned to the United Nations in charge of Iraq, Libya, and the reform of the Security Council.
In 2002, he became First Secretary at the Permanent Mission of France to the United Nations in New York as an Expert at the Security Council. M. Floreani worked at the French Embassy in London, the Embassy of France in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) and as Consul General of France in Chicago in 2014, and as Consul General of France in Hô Chi Minh Ville in 2017.
Passionate about photography, you can view his beautiful photos on this link: vfloreani.myportfolio.com/. The Consul Général was pleased by the school’s rapid growth and discussed the school’s development with Corinne Güngör, Head of School.
Also, Jean-Noël Josse IEN, Inspector for the French Ministry of Education (AEFE), stationed at the French Embassy in Mexico, spent three days at FASTB. During his visit, he observed classrooms, reviewed practices and methods, discussed future growth, and met with the various constituents of the school: Administrators, Parents, Teachers, and Students. Mr. Josse has inspected the school each year since its opening. He was delighted by the growth and the leadership of the school.
Congratulations to our students for their achievements over the last two months:
  • First Grade students obtained outstanding results in the French Standardized test taken by all students in France and the 600 French schools worldwide.
  • Our 2nd-grade students’ project was recognized for a STEM Challenge among the 50 French schools in North America! (more details below!).
Let us know ASAP if you are interested in our Summer Camp!
Don’t miss the art exhibition of FASTB students’ work tonight at:
Gallery Mirella Cimato: located at 2145 First Avenue South St. Petersburg from 5-9 pm.
Have a great weekend!
