Back To School & Ready For A Big Week!
Bonjour! With bellies still full from Thanksgiving, we are back in biz and ready for a busy week – the details below in this Special Big Event Edition of News de Nous!
Open House Wednesday Evening 6-8pm
Big Event number one is our Open House Evening Session this Wednesday, November 28 – doors open at 6pm! It’s a great chance to explore French Immersion for your child as you will have the opportunity to meet teachers and parents, tour the school and ask plenty of questions. We will also have a special guest with us – Jerome Train, from Mission Laïque Française is in town to conduct professional development
sessions with our teachers this week and he will be at the Open House to answer questions and provide a global perspective on the impact and effectiveness of French Immersion education. Mission Laïque Française serves a network of schools throughout North America and FASTB is a proud member!
We are still enrolling students for the current year and also looking ahead to 2019-20 so all are welcome, even if you’re still in the early stages of your decision process!
Refreshments will be served – we ask that you RSVP to admission@fastb.orgso we can make sure we have enough. Please help us spread the word – Merci!!
Légion d’Honneur Ceremony at FASTB Thursday
Big Event number two is Thursday afternoon as French Consul General Clément Leclerc, on behalf of French President Emmanuel Macron, will be at FASTB to award two local American World War II veterans, Joseph Corbin and Francis Smith, the French Republic’s highest order of merit for military and civil conduct, the Légion d’Honneur, for their service in France during the war.
This event also has an educational element as area college and high school students will be attending and participating. We hope you will join us in honoring these two heroes. The ceremony begins at 2:30pm – please click here for the press release with more details.
