Originally from Scotland, Maeve completed her undergraduate studies in art and design in Manchester, England, before taking a Post Graduate Diploma in Primary Education at the University of Glasgow and a MA in Art Education at Boston University. After beginning her teaching career in Scotland, Maeve accepted a position at an international school in Chicago. While there, she taught general elementary and coordinated the primary art curriculum. After a short spell teaching in Hong Kong, Maeve then spent five years teaching English at the International School of Boston, where she became very experienced with working in a bilingual setting. Most recently, Maeve taught at an independent K-8 school in the Seattle area before relocating to Florida with her husband and young son.
