Marion Bazerque

Willy LeBihan

Marion was born in Bordeaux, in the southwest of France. After a literary baccalaureate, she spent a year as an au pair in Germany. This gave her a taste for travel, discoveries, and adventure. Back in France, she started a German Literature and Civilization course, always wanting to know more and regularly returning to Goethe’s country. Marion wrote dictations on the blackboard to her stuffed animals and dreamed of becoming a teacher as a child. It was, therefore, quite natural that she took this path. After earning teaching certification with the French Ministry of Education in 2009, she taught in Nanterre and then in Puteaux. She particularly enjoys sharing literature, music, debates, theater, and cultural visits with her students.
The desire to travel the world remained, and after six years of experience with Benjamin, her husband, they left to teach in a French-Senegalese school. Marion then continued at the French high school Jean Mermoz in Dakar. She really appreciated the teamwork, the cultural mix, and the projects. Marion is particularly interested in foreign languages and is convinced that bilingualism is an asset for today’s world. It is, therefore, with great enthusiasm that she joined FASTB.
Their little boy, Baptiste, is also looking forward to making new friends at FASTB and discovering the United States!
